Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Cryptween (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Cryptween platform — a collective market intelligence infrastructure for retail crypto traders. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through our website and desktop application.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: blockchain wallet address used for identity. We do not require an email address or traditional account.
• License data: paid licenses are purchased directly on-chain through a Cryptween smart contract, using your wallet — there is no credit card or third-party payment processor. We verify license status by reading the public blockchain state. The purchase transaction itself is publicly visible on-chain, independent of anything Cryptween stores.
• Exchange API credentials: read-only API key and secret. These never leave your device — they are stored locally by the desktop application and are never transmitted to or stored on Cryptween's servers.
• Position data: portfolio exposure is computed and aggregated locally on your device first. Only the outputs you choose to share are sent to our servers, linked to your wallet address for cross-exchange aggregation. Because this data is wallet-linked, it is pseudonymous, not anonymous. Individual positions are never displayed to other users.
• Usage data: feature interactions, session length, and error logs — used to improve the platform.
• Device data: operating system, application version, and crash reports.

3. How we use your data

• → Provide and maintain the Cryptween service.
• → Generate aggregated market intelligence from wallet-linked contributions shared across the platform.
• → Send in-app notifications (account events, billing receipts).
• → Diagnose technical issues and improve performance.
• → Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, use it for advertising, or share it with any party except as described in this policy.

4. Data sharing

We share data only with:

• Cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., hosting, database) — under data processing agreements.
• Law enforcement — when legally required and only to the extent required.

We do not use payment processors. Paid licenses are purchased directly on-chain through a smart contract, so no card or billing data ever passes through Cryptween.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Position and usage data older than 24 months is automatically purged. On account deletion, all personal identifiers are removed within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate metrics derived from your data may be retained indefinitely for research purposes.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• → Access the personal data we hold about you.
• → Request correction of inaccurate data.
• → Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• → Object to or restrict certain processing.
• → Data portability.

7. Cookies

The Cryptween website uses only strictly necessary session cookies for authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The desktop application does not use cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you via an in-app banner at least 14 days before any material changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
