1. Who we are

Cryptween (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Cryptween platform — a collective market intelligence infrastructure for retail crypto traders. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through our website and desktop application.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: email address, blockchain wallet address used for identity, and subscription status.
• Exchange API credentials: read-only API key and secret, stored encrypted at rest (AES-256). Never stored in plain text.
• Position data: anonymised and aggregated portfolio exposure pulled from your connected exchanges. Individual positions are never stored or displayed to other users.
• Usage data: feature interactions, session length, and error logs — used to improve the platform.
• Device data: operating system, application version, and crash reports.

3. How we use your data

• → Provide and maintain the Cryptween service.
• → Generate anonymised, aggregated market intelligence shared across the platform.
• → Send transactional emails (account events, billing receipts).
• → Diagnose technical issues and improve performance.
• → Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, use it for advertising, or share it with any party except as described in this policy.

4. Data sharing

We share data only with:

• Cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., hosting, database) — under data processing agreements.
• Payment processors — only billing-related data required to process your subscription.
• Law enforcement — when legally required and only to the extent required.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Position and usage data older than 24 months is automatically purged. On account deletion, all personal identifiers are removed within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate metrics derived from your data may be retained indefinitely for research purposes.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

7. Cookies

The Cryptween website uses only strictly necessary session cookies for authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The desktop application does not use cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you via email or an in-app banner at least 14 days before any material changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
