How do I connect my exchange account?
Go to Settings → Exchanges and paste your read-only API key and secret. Cryptween never requests write permissions or withdrawal access.
Which exchanges are supported?
We currently support Binance, Bybit, OKX, and Bitget. More exchanges are added with each beta release.
What does "collective positioning" mean?
Cryptween aggregates anonymised exposure data from all connected users to reveal crowding density, participation dynamics, and structural market states — without exposing any individual portfolio.
What is the Market Awareness Vector (MAV)?
MAV is a real-time signal that reports what the market is doing right now, not what it will do next. It is synthesized from indicators gathered across all three of Cryptween's observability layers — Collective, Market Structure, and Social — into a single, readable measure of market state.
What is the scientific basis behind MAV?
MAV is original research developed in-house by Cryptween, built by applying psychometric construct-validation methodology (the discipline behind Campbell & Fiske's convergent/discriminant validity and Cronbach & Meehl's construct validity) to market data. It was tested with pre-registered, confirmatory hypotheses — thresholds fixed before any holdout data was seen, corrected for multiple comparisons — across 55,536 hourly bars spanning 214 crypto assets (2020-2026) and a 52-million-comment Reddit corpus scored with the CryptoBERT sentiment model, then checked for face validity against 8 historical crisis windows (including the COVID crash, LUNA/UST, and FTX). An earlier attempt to fuse everything into a single index failed its own statistical validity tests, so MAV instead reports a vector of individually confidence-scored measurements rather than one number pretending to be certain. This methodology is proprietary Cryptween intellectual property, developed through our own research program, and a candidate for future patent protection.
Is my API key stored on your servers?
API keys are encrypted at rest using AES-256 and are only used for read-only data pulls. We never store credentials in plain text.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime from your account dashboard under Billing. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
All personal identifiers are purged within 30 days of deletion. Anonymised aggregate metrics derived from your data may be retained for research purposes.
The desktop app won't open on Windows. What should I do?
Windows SmartScreen may block unsigned executables. Click "More info" → "Run anyway". We are in the process of obtaining code-signing certificates for the public launch.
How do I report a bug?
Open the in-app bug reporter (Help → Report a bug) or send an email to support@cryptween.com with steps to reproduce, your OS version, and a screenshot if possible.
